Welcome to TrashMyTree. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

TrashMyTree provides Christmas tree pickup and recycling services in the south Denver metro area and surrounding communities. Our services include:

Curbside pickup of real Christmas trees.

Responsible recycling to minimize environmental impact.

Hassle-free scheduling and reliable service.

2. Scheduling and Pickup

You will receive a notification before your scheduled pickup date.

Trees must be placed curbside and accessible at the time of pickup.
If the tree is inaccessible or not ready at the time of pickup, and a second trip is required, a minimum $50 trip charge will apply.

3. Tree Preparation Requirements

To ensure proper recycling, please prepare your tree as follows:

Remove all decorations, lights, ornaments, tinsel, and stands.

Trees with flocking (spray snow or similar decoration) cannot be accepted.

Ensure trees are clean and free of any non-organic materials.

Failure to meet these requirements may result in refusal of service.

4. Pricing and Payment

The cost of our services depends on the size of the tree and the pickup location.

Payment is required at time of order.

A separate scheduling link will be sent separately.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Missed pickups are not eligible for refunds.

To cancel or reschedule your pickup, you must contact us at least 24 hours in advance.

Refunds are considered for cancelations made at least 3 days before scheduled pickup date.

6. Use of Contact Information

By using our services, you consent to the use of your contact information (such as email address and phone number) for the following purposes:

Service-related communications, including scheduling and updates.

Marketing communications about future services or promotions offered by TrashMyTree.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us. However, you may continue to receive essential service-related communications.

7. Limitation of Liability

TrashMyTree is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided.

8. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with an effective date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use TrashMyTree to recycle my Christmas tree instead of my local drop-off site?

By all means, if you want to haul your tree to your local drop-off, we encourage you to!

If you are like our founder, and don't enjoy dealing with a dried out tree, scratching the car roof or having to clean out the trunk or truck bed, and frankly, just don't have the time to deal with it, then we would love to help you out!

Also, it's probably better for your relationship! 😉

Can't I just put my Christmas tree on the curb with my regular waste pick up?

Maybe.

Many towns and cities around Denver don't do curbside pick up, but offer community drop-off locations. The City of Denver will do a special curbside pickup on your large item day but as of 2023, those trees go to the dump, they don't get recycled anymore. Can you believe that?!

How does Christmas tree pickup service work with TrashMyTree?

1) Book your preferred pickup date with the link you'll receive in your confirmation email.

2) On your scheduled day, place your tree outside your door, garage, fence, or in your front yard.

3) We'll be by to pick it up, haul it off, and ensure it is properly recycled.

Easier than bugging your spouse about it!

Can I book a pickup in advance, or do you only offer last-minute services?

You can absolutely book in advance! We'll send a scheduling link in our confirmation order. Scheduling ahead helps secure your spot, especially during peak post-holiday times when demand is high.

What does TrashMyTree do with the tree after it is picked up?

We recycle all collected trees in an eco-friendly manner. Christmas trees are turned into mulch or compost by our recycling partners, ensuring they don’t end up in landfills.

Is there a size limit for trees that can be picked up and recycled?

We can handle trees of various sizes typically up to 12'. If you have something larger, contact us here and we're sure we can figure something out.

Do you offer any discounts for large orders or neighborhoods booking together?

Yes, we offer discounts for bulk pickups, such as when multiple neighbors book together or for property management groups. Contact us here to discuss bulk pricing.

What do I need to do to prepare my tree for pickup?

Please remove all ornaments, lights, stands, and decorations. Basically, it should look like the day it was cut down. This allows us to recycle the tree efficiently and safely.

Note: TrashMyTree cannot accept any trees with flocking (spray snow or other coatings) as these are not recyclable.

Can you pick up trees from apartments or condos?

Yes, we can collect trees from apartments or condos. Just specify the pickup location, like a designated drop-off area, to ensure our team can easily access the tree. At this time, we cannot enter your apartment or condo unit so please ensure there is a location outside we can access.

Can you pick up trees from businesses?

Yes, we sure do!

Is there a specific day or time for pickup?

Pickups are scheduled based on availability and demand, typically within a few days of booking. Although we try to honor your preferred date, we may not always be able to do so. We’ll provide a confirmation of date and window of time for when you can expect our team to arrive.

How much does the pickup and recycling service cost?

Our pricing is competitive and varies based on location and tree size. Check out our prices in our store!

Do I need to be home for TrashMyTree to pick up my Christmas tree?

There is no need for you to be home as long as the Christmas tree has been left in a visible and accessible location.

What should I do if I miss my scheduled pickup?

If you miss the scheduled window, we can reschedule for an additional fee. Contact us to arrange a new pickup time as soon as possible.

If you do not reschedule, the fee is non-refundable.

Can I get a refund if I cancel my pickup?

Cancellations made at least 3 days in advance of your scheduled pick up date may qualify for a refund.

If you missed your pick up date, please contact us to reschedule. There are no refunds if you do not reschedule.
